Certification

Importing more than five items of any specific product into the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is only possible with dedicated permissive documents.

SCHNEIDER GROUP’s importing and certification specialists will help determine the type of permissive documents required for your product; organise sample importation and ensure cooperation with an accredited laboratory for testing; prepare required technical documentation and advise on the correct labelling of the product that will enable it to be freely sold within the EAEU. We will:

  • Act as a holder of permissive documents on behalf of the producer within the EAEU
  • Find a dedicated certification organisation working with a laboratory that is accredited to carry out tests on products you intend to import
  • Translate technical documentation into the local language and proof the contents to ensure it meets the product-specific requirements of the certification body
  • Ensure that product labelling complies with the legal requirements of the EAEU
  • Provide an electronic signature to sign documents

What you get

REQUIRED PERMISSIVE DOCUMENTS
Different types of products can be imported into the EAEU under either a declaration of conformity, certificate of conformity or certificate of state registration. The documents may be issued for a batch (one-time import) or a series (regular import). We will analyse your products and determine which type of documentation is required to ensure trouble-free importation.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION LOCALISATION
The technical documentation that is sent to the laboratory with samples to be tested differs depending on the type of goods being imported. As documentation is to be submitted in the local language (usually Russian) we will prepare the correct technical documentation in the appropriate language and organise the delivery of samples for testing in Russia in the quantities specified by the certification body.
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY REGISTRATION
From January 2021, the procedure for registering a declaration of conformity has changed in the EAEU. The application is submitted electronically and must be signed with an electronic signature. In the event of any errors, such as the incorrect position of the signatory, the permit will be invalidated. We will ensure that the documents are correct and provide our own electronic signature for the application.
INDEPENDENCE FROM DISTRIBUTORS
Only a resident of the country in which the permit is obtained can act as the holder of permits for goods imported into the EAEU. A producer may authorise several partners to obtain documents for its goods. We will act as a document holder to ensure that your products can enter the EAEU freely, regardless of how your relationship with distribution partners develops. We will assume the risks associated with any potential consumer complaints.
TESTING
To obtain permission to import a product, it must pass certification tests in a laboratory that is authorized to carry out tests on that specific product. These labs are working under license, and if the license is withdrawn, permit documentation issued by the lab becomes invalid. The labs only work with special certification organisations, not directly with importers. We will help to choose the appropriate certification organization and a test lab that will be authorized to run tests on the product(s) you plan to import.
GOODS LABELLING
In order to be sold within the EAEU, goods must be labelled. There are legal requirements specifying label design and contents, i.e. they must be labelled correctly (EAC). The product cannot be sold in the EAEU without the correct labelling. We can advise on labelling and calculate how long it will take from receiving permissive documents for import and shipment of a commercial batch to getting the necessary labelling in place.

Why Schneider group

CROSS-CHECKING MULTIPLE RISKS
We cross-check all possible risks in the certification process, including the accreditation of the laboratory for testing the client's product, its history and reputation, as well as the procedures proposed by the certification body and their differences (based on data from the producer, test results from the lab in the EAEU and the results of EAEU expert visits to manufacturing facilities abroad). We consult on possible issues with existing permissive documents.
COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH
Certification is a key step on your path to the EAEU. We calculate how efficient it will be to organise the importation and distribution of goods to be certified in the EAEU countries with certain permits, and help choose the best procedure.
POST-PROJECT SUPPORT
We make it a rule to monitor changes in the legal framework for certification and duly consult our clients on the steps they need to take to ensure the smooth importation and sale of goods within the EAEU.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
If the goods to be certified fall into a category that is subject to mandatory digital marking, we will implement a labelling system in production or storage, ensure registration in the Russian national track and trace system “CHESTNY ZNAK” and transfer necessary data to the system when the goods pass all control points.
