St. Petersburg: the self-isolation regime is extended till June 14, but with some mitigation

The Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov signed a decree on amending the decree of the Government of St. Petersburg No. 121 “On measures to counteract the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in St. Petersburg” dated March 13, 2020.

Most measures aiming at counteracting the spread of the coronavirus infection in St. Petersburg remain unchanged, with the exception of some mitigation.

From June 1, it will be allowed to appear on the streets of St. Petersburg without gloves and masks or respirators covering the mouth and nose.

At the same time, residents will still need to wear masks and gloves in shops and other organizations, in public transport and at the stops, at stations, at the airport and cemeteries (from June 1, it will be allowed to visit cemeteries again).

As part of the mitigation, residents of St. Petersburg over 65 years old will be allowed to go outside; the prohibition that has been and still is in force will be replaced by a recommendation not to leave home unnecessarily since June 1.

In addition, notaries and lawyers will be allowed to resume reception of clients (by appointment); the number of duty groups in kindergartens will increase.

The other restrictions imposed in St. Petersburg to counteract COVID-19 are extended until June 14.
