Russia’s Constitutional Court has ruled that marketplaces may only temporarily suspend sales of allegedly counterfeit goods pending a court decision, protecting both intellectual property owners and sellers from potential abuse.

Starting from 1 September 2026, the term of medical examination for foreign nationals will be reduced from 90 to 30 calendar days from the date of entry into the territory of the Russian Federation.

From June 1, 2026, funds held on deposits of “unfriendly” foreign individuals and entities in Russian banks have effectively been frozen, while banks may transfer them to Type C accounts, restricting depositors’ access to their money.

New limits on use of bank deposits in Russian banks for foreign "unfriendly" individuals and legal entities in the amount of no more than 10 million rubles per month are introduced.
