COVID-19 pandemic has significantly facilitated the growth of e-commerce segment in Russia: the market volume reached 6+ trillion rubles (USD 82.5 billion) in 2020 and grew by 22% as compared to 2019.
Wellness and beauty products contribute greatly to the growth trend. They have evolved from the practical necessity for self-care into a lifestyle to compensate for the hardship of the lockdown. The number of online orders of beauty and wellness products grew by 158% and the number of online buyers of cosmetics from 25% to 69%.
