Changes in Russian and European tax legislation affecting business in Russia

24 October | 9:00-10:30 am GMT+1 / 10:00-11:30 am GMT+3

About the event

This year, several decisions have been taken by European countries and Russia in the field of tax legislation. These decisions will affect the financial and tax obligations of companies and multinational enterprises working and investing in Russia.

The mutual blacklisting of the EU and Russia is having a significant impact on the possible tax consequences regardless of revisions of the legal framework. Mutual transparency, facilitated by the OECD and other international institutions, had been making taxpayers’ life easier, but the situation has become more complex since the mutual interchange of financial information was called into question.

At our event, we will revisit international taxation questions influencing group finances on both sides, and share our ideas on the following topics:

  • withholding tax
  • permanent establishment
  • tax exemption for certain expenses
  • transfer pricing
  • taxation of international transport
  • control over controlled foreign companies

AGENDA

  • Inclusion of Russia in EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions
  • Suspension of provisions of 38 Double Tax Treaties of Russia
  • Inclusion of 51 jurisdictions in new offshore list of Russian Ministry of Finance
