COVID-19 UPDATE: last news in Saint Petersburg

In accordance with the amendments to the Resolution of the Government of St. Petersburg No. 121 “On measures to counteract the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Saint Petersburg” dated April 3, 2020, companies and individual entrepreneurs, whose activities are not subject to established prohibitions and restrictions, are obliged to determine the number of employees directly providing business activity at workplaces, as well as employees transferred to remote work, in a local normative act on April 6, 2020. Data should be submitted to the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovations and Trade of Saint Petersburg until April 7, 2020.

Additionally, companies are to develop and approve Company activity safety standards until April 10, 2020.

Clarifications on the work of enterprises providing road and transport services and accommodation facilities for citizens in Saint Petersburg

In accordance with the Resolution of the Government of Saint Petersburg “On amending the Resolution of the Government of Saint Petersburg No. 121 dated March 13, 2020 “On measures to counteract the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Saint Petersburg”, categories of enterprises that can carry out their activities were specified. These enterprises can keep functioning only if the necessary anti-epidemic measures are implemented and a number of requirements is met by them.

Such enterprises include the enterprises of the transport industry of Saint Petersburg, which carry out continuous work on servicing passengers and transporting goods by all means of transport, including the enterprises providing logistics services. This category also includes organizations and individual entrepreneurs that supply goods for the needs of the transport industry enterprises, provide services, perform work, including maintenance and repair of vehicles, as well as supply of spare parts.

Continuously operating organizations also include organizations that carry out road management in relation to roads in Saint Petersburg and organizations that provide facilities for the establishment and maintenance of observation facilities for the subsequent placement of Russian and foreign citizens arriving to Saint Petersburg or for the placement of employees of continuously operating enterprises. Hotel services are provided solely for accommodation services.

All of the abovementioned organizations can carry out their activities only provided that the necessary anti-epidemic measures are implemented by these organizations and a number of requirements is met. They must be approved by the local act – Company activity safety standards.
