Julia Cherenkova
Finance & Accounting Director, Moscow, Russia
"I joined SCHNEIDER GROUP as accounting assistant during my studies in 2007. Combining evening work and study was not easy, but it was definitely worth it: by the time of my graduation I had not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical experience. And I was already promoted for the first time.
I had the opportunity to work on a project of accounting records restoration and tax recalculation, it was challenging, but a great way to progress at my job. After we completed the restoration of the financial records, the customer decided to stay with us for complete accounting support. Soon the customer opened a new legal entity. I was responsible for accounting and tax reporting for it and my professional knowledge grew with the customer’s business growth.
It was a great way for me to learn to handle a large-scale project completely on my own, to build a project team, and to show the results. My devotion was noticed by the company management and in 2012 I got promoted to accounting project lead. Now, I am finance & accounting director at SCHNEIDER GROUP.
I think that for a successful career you should really want to become a professional, be ready to take on new, challenging tasks, admit own responsibility for the project and contribute to the joint result."
