On December 23, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Regulation No. 1302 “Some issues of stay of citizens of the Republic of Belarus in Ukraine”, which continues the previous migration incentives for the citizens of the Republic of Belarus, established by the October Decree of the President of Ukraine (Decree № 420/2020 “On measures to attract entrepreneurs and highly qualified specialists who are citizens of the Republic of Belarus”, providing simplified procedures for residence permits for IT specialists from the Republic of Belarus, which we also wrote about in our article).
Until December 31, 2021, the citizens of the Republic of Belarus will not be subject to restrictions on the period of temporary stay established by law – namely, the maximum of 90 days within 180 days. According to the Regulation, the citizens of the Republic of Belarus who have arrived in Ukraine on a legal basis can temporarily stay for up to 180 days per year.
