About the event

This year has brought on many new financial challenges to the management of Russian companies, as well as escalated the risks of personal liability of the CEOs.

In particular, we will discuss the following topics:
  • Recent practice on cross-border payments;
  • Tasks for the CEOs and CFOs to be completed by the end of the year: tax refunds in view of the transition to a uniform tax account and intra-group reconciliation;
  • Risks of company directors and ways to minimize them, including those in connection with inability to fulfil contractual obligations due to sanctions, non-return of funds (advance payments, loans) under contracts with foreign partners, as well as possible solutions in case of a conflict between foreign sanctions and the interests of a Russian company.

About speakers

Anna Afanasyeva
Associate Director, Legal & Tax, St. Petersburg

Anna joined SCHNEIDER GROUP St. Petersburg office in 2020. She has more than 10 years of professional experience at the international law firms. 

Anna is a leading legal advisor in St. Petersburg. She specialises in financial and tax planning and provides legal support in manufacturing and real estate investment projects, manufacturing localisation, and infrastructure projects. She advises SCHNEIDER GROUP’s customers on customs law, IT regulations, foreign trade and financing, M&A, and international legal agreements. 

For many years, Anna has been heading the legal & tax committee of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) in St. Petersburg. She participates in the tax and financial reporting committee of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce (AHK).

Anna graduated with a degree in Law from St. Petersburg University.

Natalia Wilke
Partner, Legal, General Director, St. Petersburg, Russia

Natalia is SCHNEIDER GROUP Partner and General Director of the St. Petersburg office. She is a lawyer with more than 20 years of practical experience in legal consulting.

Natalia provides tailored-made, practically-oriented legal solutions in establishing and managing subsidiaries of international businesses in Russia, manufacturing localisation, compliance, acquisition of real estate, as well as corporate and labour law.

Natalia speaks Russian, German and English, and has a basic knowledge of French.

Olga Mastsevaya
Finance & Accounting Director

Olga joined the company in 2004, Backed by over 25 years of experience, Olga is a proven leader with a track record of accounting, taxation and financial reporting according to Russian accounting standards, projects on internal audit, transformation of local financial reporting into IFRS and management reporting. Olga has successfully supported many client projects on implementation of Russian software and migration from foreign ERP-systems to 1C, as well as customization of software for client's needs, post-project support and training of client's employees.

She is responsible for automation of financial processes and communication with Russian tax authorities and nun-budgetary fund.

Olga is fluent in Russian and English, with a working knowledge of German.
