In February 2025, Ulf joined SCHNEIDER GROUP as Partner and took over responsibility for our offices in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
He brings more than 30 years of experience in banking and financial services, gained primarily with Deutsche Bank as well as in senior leadership roles in both state and private companies. For the past 20 years, Ulf has been based in Almaty, where he has developed deep knowledge of the local market and the region’s economic and political environment.
A key focus of his work is on building and strengthening the local business community. Since 2010, Ulf has been actively involved in the Kazakh-German Business Council and the Association of the Foreign Investors Council, which work closely with the President of Kazakhstan and the government to improve the investment climate.
Ulf began his career in credit risk analysis at Deutsche Bank in Stuttgart/Ulm. He holds a degree in Political Science with a focus on foreign languages of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He also completed further training in project management, corporate governance, and ESG-related challenges in state enterprises.
Ulf speaks German, English, Russian, and Turkish.
