Either-Or or Both-And? Turkey at the Crossroads…
The current community of BRICS states vehemently rejected Turkey's application for membership at its recently concluded meeting in Kazan, Russia. Its long-standing NATO alliance simply does not fit with their idea of creating a new world order that shifts power from West to East. In addition, the emerging superpower India does not like the political proximity to Pakistan.
This does not, of course, change the high status of the geographically Eurasian country as an economic 'belt buckle' at the interface of two continents. We are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to discuss the possible consequences and conceptual reactions of Turkey among other burning topics concerning the broader region with us. After all, Turkey has been trying to join the EU since 1963, during the time of the EEC (European Economic Community), most recently in April of this year by expanding the customs union - is there now a renewed rapprochement? What now? 'Quo vadis', Turkey?
Join us together for effective networking with long standing regional experts and a high level auditorium of industry leaders at the ‘Eurasian Crossroads’ conference to gain a competitive advantage and position your business for success in this dynamic and promising area.
