Saint Petersburg: the restrictions are extended until July 26, but with some mitigation

The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, signed a resolution amending the resolution of the Government of St. Petersburg No. 121 “On measures to counteract the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in St. Petersburg” dated March 13, 2020.

From July 13, 2020, the operation of hairdressing and beauty salons (by appointment), as well as the provision of public bath services and some household services will resume in full.

The restrictions on the provision of social services are also lifted.

Access of citizens to institutions and organizations that will resume their work is permitted provided that these entities ensure the observance of safety requirements. These include the use of personal protective equipment, observing a distance of at least 1.5 meters, disinfection of contact surfaces, and sanitizing of hands with antiseptics when entering the premises. The organizations must observe the operational safety standards and have a unique QR code.

At the same time, the restrictions on holding sports, leisure, sightseeing events and group attendance classes, are extended.

Additionally, according to the resolution of the Government of St. Petersburg developed in coordination with The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumers Protection and Welfare, from July 13, the St. Petersburg metro will return to the usual working schedule.

All other recommendations and prohibitions established earlier, including the recommendation for employers to ensure the remote work for employees of organizations, remain in force until July 26, 2020.
