On January 29, 2019 the VIII CERBA-Vancouver Mining Conference took place at the Deloitte Conference Center on the Margins of the AME BC Roundup-2019 in Vancouver, Canada.
The event was organized in collaboration with Deloitte Tax Law, SCHNEIDER GROUP, and AFEX. Ulf Schneider, Managing Partner and founder of SCHNEIDER GROUP, gave a presentation on international trade regulations in the Eurasia-Russia region, current and future trade agreements, resource and energy markets, perspectives and trends, and their effects on the import, export, and tax aspects of business.
The conference was attended by around 90 participants and focused on ongoing resource sector projects in Greater Eurasian countries (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and more), new market opportunities, and environmental and sustainability impacts . The panels of experts included representatives of the public and private sector, diplomats, international businesses, and investment and law specialists, who shared insights and discussed the best practices of global trade and strategic cross border partnerships for successfully pursuing untapped market opportunities.
The conference was finished off with a networking reception and the opportunity for discussion between the participants. During this time, Ulf Schneider had an interesting conversation with H.E. Mr. Akylbek Kamaldinov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Canada, among other things.
